Depressed and Lonely No More!

The more and more I search the Internet, the more and more I realize how God is missing in so many lives.  There are so many lives that are driven by this world and whose hearts are broken and crying out for help.  This world is full of lonely, depressed, and confused people just like the life I once lived.  If you are one of those hurting people, I pray that you will come to know God and to know His love.  I pray that you can come to know Him in a deep and intimate way.  He wants a relationship with you.  Like Joyce Meyer said, ”Jesus did not come to earth for a religion, Jesus came to earth for YOU!”  He loves you and is waiting there for you with open arms.  Waiting for you to come to Him so that you can begin your love walk with Him.

When I first began my journey with God, I still had one foot in the world and one foot in the word.  I still lived my life as the world lived; full of anger, mistrust, jeolousy, bitterness, sadness, and loneliness.  I believed in God and what His word said.  I just was not living it.  I still struggle with issues today, I am not perfect.  While I am here on earth I will always struggle with issues, but thank God I now know that I can open my Bible, open my mouth, and open my heart to Jesus and He will help me through.  He will be there for me to catch me when I feel myself falling down into despair.  He will be there for me waiting and He is waiting on you too.

Can you turn from this world, and turn to God?  I challenge you today to read his word.  Once you begin reading His word it will start living in your heart and you will start living it in your life.  We have to take a leap of faith and take God’s hand.  Take his hand as he guides us on our walkway of life…. our love walk with God.

A scripture of hope for you today -

28-30“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” (Matthew 11:28, The Message)

We need to always turn to God in good times and bad, not just the bad. He needs to be first in our lives always…. He is King of kings and Lord of lords…. I love Jesus!!

Hey Kristen, just reading through some of your recent posts, I see how often you exhort your brethren to remember that the devil is indeed the father of lies and that we must put our trust in the Lord that we are loved, that we are not alone. These touch on so many issues I have struggled with in the past… I still struggle sometimes, but lately the war has been marked by many victorious battles by the Grace of God and the power of His Spirit and His Word working in my life.

Your comment, “Once you begin reading His word it will start living in your heart and you will start living it in your life” is so very important. The Word offers so much more than I think any of us realize – Paul said the Word is alive; John called Jesus the manifestation of the Word of God, and when the Spirit of God speaks through His holy Word, we have a weapon more powerful than a two-edged sword, more powerful than any carnal weapon (Hebrews 4:12, 2 Corinthians 10:4, John 1).

Thanks for these reminders. God’s grace and power be with you as you read His word and travel on this walk with Him!
