Power in Positive Thinking!

Life has dealt me a few lemons and I’ve definitely had my ups and downs.  However, now when I’m feeling down or a situation comes up to cause me stress, anxiety, or depression, I don’t stay there as long as I once did.  I now try to have positive thoughts.  There truly is power in positive thinking.  Our thoughts control our entire life.  “Our thoughts shape our actions; our actions shape our habits; our habits shape our character; and our character shapes our destiny (Gregory Dickow).”

Thinking positive thoughts will help us have changed lives!  It will help us to see the good in life not always the bad.  When situations arise that cause you to have negative thoughts, replace those thoughts with thoughts such as, “I am a child God, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, I am the righteousness of Christ, I’m more than a conqueror in Jesus Christ, I have God’s power in my life, God is in control of my life and all things work together for His good.”

Proverbs 23:7 tells us, “as a man thinks within himself, so is he.”  We need to fill our thought life with what God tells us about ourselves and our lives.  By doing this, we can make positive choices for ourselves.  Life is all about making choices.  We can choose sadness, depression, anxiety or we can choose life; the life that God has given to us.  His life for us is filled with joy, happiness and prosperity!

I challenge you to watch this 6 minute video clip!  It is a great prayer and meditation for everyday positive living!

“I choose to have a great, prosperous, joyful, and wonderful day!” I choose life!  I ask you today, what do you choose and what changes do you need to make to get it?

God bless,

Kristen

This is exactly what I needed to hear! I’ve been struggling a lot lately with negative thoughts & it’s really been affecting me badly. As soon as I let one negative thought in, others begin to follow & it leads me into depression, which in turn immobilizes me. Thank you so much for sharing this. :)

The truth is even things that we perceive as negative normally lead us to a better place. Everything in our life happens for a reason. It just takes some time to understand the reason why something has happened. There’s no time for anxiety or stress if you’re living each moment to the fullest. The “Now” is all we have & if we allow ourselves to see the beauty in everything & everyone our life becomes fuller.

Find the love you have inside, love yourself & love & joy will always be apart of your life. Open your heart & your thoughts will be free.

    Hugs,

    Bill

Thanks Bill for your comment. Sometimes we may never know why things happen in our lives; for example, a death, a tragedy, or a loss. Sometimes God never answers our “why” but we must stop asking “why” and ask “how”. How can I change and grow as a person and learn from this. How can I become a stronger person from my situation. I love how you stated, “find the love you have inside!” This is so very true. We find that deep love through Jesus Christ. He is the answer to life’s problems! Thank you so very much for your comments! I appreciate them! God bless!

I like Colossians 3:5 which reads, “Let the peace of Christ rule in your heart.”
